A note about remote: This is a good option for people on a limited budget, and those who are pressed for time and would rather not travel. However, virtual attendees will miss our moment of remembrance at the Columbine Memorial on Sunday afternoon and the SRM-REx on Wednesday. Currently, the intent is to broadcast live from The Briefings venue through the Zoom platform. There will be people monitoring the chat stream during all presentations, and responding or passing questions to the presenters as necessary.

THE PROGRAM
The Summer Briefings is the perfect blend of knowledge-sharing, functional exercises, networking opportunities, and relationship-building. Our keynote sessions will highlight experts who have been fundamental in making The “I Love U Guys” Foundation what it is today. Our speakers will share their unique experiences, insights, next steps and lessons learned across the entire spectrum of safety.
As always, the Summer Briefings will feature a full-day SRP/SRM Train the Trainer Workshop, but new this year is our Standard Reunification Method - Reunification Exercise (SRM-REx). SRM-REx is a hands-on opportunity to practice the proven methods for planning, practicing and achieving a successful reunification.
SPEAKERS AND SESSIONS
This 4-day event features knowledge-sharing, relationship-building, networking opportunities hands-on training and actionable insights you can put to use immediately.
We will begin with a moment of remembrance at the Columbine Memorial followed by the Platte Canyon Debrief. Day 2 will highlight presentations and discussions on a range of safety topics while Day 3 is a full day of SRP/SRM training. The Summer Briefings will close with our SRM-REx - a full-day exercise where participants experience planning and practicing successful reunification.

As we see it, there are three types of experts and the best approach is to learn from all.
Scholarly experts have pursued a field of study and received advanced degrees (such as Ph.D., Ed.D., JD, etc.)
Field experts are certified and/or accredited by a professional organization (such as PSP, LISW, LCSW, NCSP, CTM, Esq., etc.)
Practical experts have extensive experience in a position or industry and are regarded by others as highly knowledgeable

The Briefings always include a full day of this popular training program. It's an ideal and cost-effective way to get small group or individual training. This year we will continue to train on SRP-2021, so if you are new to the program or ready for the update, this is the perfect opportunity.
After the general sessions of The Briefings conclude, there is an add-on day for a full-day Reunification Exercise at the Adams 12 Five Star Schools District Office. This hands-on exercise is perfect for teams who are just starting the process of planning for reunification, and those who are interested in learning how to successfully practice their plan. We will go through tabletop exercises and functional training of the Standard Reunification Method to prepare you for a successful reunification of students with their parents or guardians.
The Summer Briefings will be held at Adams 12 Five Star Schools District Office (1500 E 128th Ave | Thornton, CO 80241).
Adams 12 Five Star Schools were pivotal in the creation of our Standard Reunification Method. We are grateful that they have offered up this wonderful venue for our Summer Briefings, and thrilled to hold our Reunification Exercise in the place where successful reunifications have occurred.
