Title-Block

Winter: February 10-11, 2022

The Frank DeAngelis Center for Community Safety

6625 W 45th Place | Wheat Ridge CO 80033

In-person Attendance

  • $250.00 per person - Before December 8
  • $350.00 per person - December 9
  • Seating in this venue is limited. Registrations for in-person participation will be accepted on a first-come basis.

Remote Attendance

  • $125.00 per person

A note about remote: This is a good option for people on a limited budget, and those who are pressed for time and would rather not travel. Normalizing and perfecting remote presentation is a gift the pandemic gave us, and it will be an option for most trainings in the future. The Foundation has invested time and equipment to make this as robust an experience as possible for participants. Currently, the intent is to broadcast live from The Briefings venue through the Zoom platform. There will be people monitoring the chat stream during all presentations, and responding or passing questions to the presenters as necessary.

The 4 Pillars of Safety

PREVENT

Thoughtful, collaborative planning helps prevent tragedies and mitigate risk.

PREPARE

When we are prepared, we are confident in our ability to respond.

RESPOND

Simple, clear language and five specific actions performed in any situation.

The Speakers

As we see it, there are three types of experts and the best approach is to learn from all.

  • Scholarly experts have pursued a field of study and received advanced degrees (such as Ph.D., Ed.D., JD, etc.)
  • Field experts are certified and/or accredited by a professional organization (such as PSP, LISW, LCSW, NCSP, CTM, Esq., etc.)
  • Practical experts have extensive experience in a position or industry and are regarded by others as highly knowledgeable

Our speaker list updates regularly, so check back. You can download the latest version of the agenda below.

The Training

The Briefings always include a full day of this popular training program. It's an ideal and cost-effective way to get small group or individual training. This year we will continue to train on SRP-2021, so if you are new to the program or ready for the update, this is the perfect opportunity.
